What is Performr?
Performr is a UK booking marketplace for live entertainment. Event organisers — couples planning a wedding, venues, party hosts — browse performer profiles, compare real prices and packages, and book directly. Payment is held securely until the performance is confirmed, so organisers never pay for a no-show and performers never chase an invoice. Performr is operated by Performr Technologies Ltd, registered in Northern Ireland.
Is Performr the same company as performr.ai, PerformR, or Performio?
No. Performr (performr.io) is not connected to performr.ai, to the creator platform PerformR, to Performio, or to any other similarly-named company. If you're looking to book live entertainment in the UK, you're in the right place.
How does booking work?
Find an act, choose a date and package, and either book instantly or send a request the performer confirms. You pay upfront by card; the money is held in escrow rather than paid straight to the performer. At the event, you share a unique Performance PIN with the performer once they arrive — that's what releases their payment.
What kind of acts can I book?
Drag queens and drag kings, cabaret performers, live bands, DJs, comedians, magicians and circus acts. We're launching with drag and cabaret in London and expanding by act type and city from there.
How is my payment protected?
Card payments are processed by Stripe and held in escrow until the Performance PIN confirms the performer showed up and performed. If a booking is cancelled, the performer's own cancellation policy — shown before you pay — is applied automatically.
What does Performr cost?
Bookers pay the performance price plus a 5% service fee at checkout. Performers pay a 15% commission on payouts. There are no listing fees.
How much does it cost to book a performer?
Prices are set by the performers themselves, not by Performr, and every listing shows real prices and packages up front — there is no “enquire for pricing”. What an act costs depends on the act type, how long they perform, and where your event is. The price on the listing is the price you pay, plus the 5% service fee added at checkout.
What if plans change?
Every act sets its own cancellation policy — Flexible, Moderate, Strict, or a custom refund ladder — and it's displayed on the listing and at checkout before you pay. Whatever is shown is exactly what is applied, automatically, if you cancel.
How do reviews work?
After a completed booking, both sides can review each other — and neither review is revealed until both are written (or fourteen days pass). Nobody writes a review in response to the other side's, which keeps ratings honest in both directions.
How do performers join?
Create a performer account, build your act's profile — photos, audio, video, packages, prices, availability — and connect payouts through Stripe, which handles identity verification. You control your prices, your calendar, and your cancellation terms — and you can list your act today.
Where does Performr operate?
Performr is launching in the UK, starting with London's drag scene, and will expand across act types and cities. Performers anywhere in the UK can create a profile and list their act today; booker demand will focus on London first, so acts elsewhere may see bookings build more slowly while we expand.
